MAS Low Vis Resin is our most popular choice for laminating and wetting out fibreglass cloth, and it's the resin we reach for whenever a job needs the epoxy to soak in rather than sit on top.
Built for saturation and wet-out
Formulated as a low molecular weight, 100% solids resin, MAS Low Vis is designed to fully saturate fibre-reinforced fabrics — including carbon fibre and mixed cloths — reducing the risk of voids and dry patches that weaken a laminate. It's equally effective as a deep-penetrating sealer on porous timber ahead of painting or varnishing, and as a barrier coat on GRP before building up further layers of cloth.
No wax, no blush, less clean-up
Mixed at a simple 2:1 ratio by volume, MAS Low Vis is part of the MAS non-blushing range, which means no amine wax forms on the surface as it cures. That matters in practice: there's no need to wash down or sand back the surface before applying a further coat or lamination, so you can build up layers while the previous one is still slightly green for a stronger chemical bond between coats. For more on why that matters, see our guide to [link to amine blush blog post].
Choosing a hardener
Available with fast, medium or slow hardener to suit your working temperature and the size of the job — slow hardener gives you the longest working time for big laminating projects, while fast hardener is better suited to small repairs or cooler conditions.
Compatible with FLAG and our filler range
MAS Low Vis is fully compatible with [link to MAS FLAG Thick Resin], so the two can be blended to dial in a custom viscosity for a specific job. Add [link to MAS Epoxy T-Cell] or [link to MAS Epoxy Colloidal Silica Filler] once mixed to create a filling or fairing compound.
